Eckhardt-Gramatté Hall in the Rozsa Centre at The University of Calgary

Eckhardt-Gramatté Hall

All performances take place in the Eckhardt-Gramatté Hall located in the beautiful Rozsa Centre on the University of Calgary campus. It is one of the premiere music recital facilities in western Canada and has been described as a “384 seat acoustic marvel.” Calgary Pro Musica is proud to make its home in this distinguished facility.

“The Eckhardt-Gramatté Hall is one of the finest acoustic spaces we have ever played in” — Pierre Colombet, first violinist of Quatuor Ebène

Theatre Location

The Rozsa Centre (Eckhardt-Gramatté Hall) is located on University Court, directly west of the University Theatre and the Reeve Theatre. The theatre can be reached by taking Crowchild Trail (either north or south-bound) and turning west at the intersection of Crowchild Trail and 24th Avenue N.W., then right onto University Gate. If you are traveling North on University Drive (past McMahon Stadium) you will want to make a left-hand turn at 24th Avenue N.W., then right onto University Gate.

parking mapParking is best at the Art Parkade – which is accessed by taking your first right off of University Gate.

Note: The +15 walkway on the 2nd level leads you right into Craigie Hall. Follow the signs to the Rozsa Centre (you will have to go down to the main floor). You can also exit the parkade on the ground level, cross the street and walk north past the Reeve Theatre, through the connecting hallway that joins Craigie Hall to the Reeve Theatre and follow the signs to the Rozsa Centre.

To drop off individuals with limited mobility, stay on University Gate (do not turn into the parkade). Turn right onto University Court, then right again – the front doors of the Rozsa Centre will be on your right hand side. To return to the parkade, follow the loop around and reverse the route back to University Gate. Please note that there could be construction detours along this route as a result of the new building that is being erected just west of the Rozsa Centre. There are a few handicap parking stalls located directly west of the Rozsa Centre in the small outdoor parking lot.

For Bus and C-Train information, call Calgary Transit at 262-1000 (buses stop right in front of Craigie Hall; the C Train stops on the East side of campus, at Crowchild Trail – see map).
